SÖDER - POM®

Material with greater dimensional stability than polyamides but with less resistance to wear.

It is characterized by good resistance to hydrolysis, strong alkaline solutions and degradation by thermal oxidation.

MAIN CHARACTERISTICS

- High mechanical strength, stiffness and hardness

- High modulus of elasticity

- Good resistance to creep

- High impact resistance even at low temperatures

- Excellent dimensional stability

- Good slip properties and wear resistance

- Easy machining (better than polyamide)

- Low moisture absorption

- High resistance to chemicals

- Physiologically inert

ApPLICATIONS

- Dimensionally stable precision parts

- Small module sprockets

- Couplings, gloves, valve elements

- Bushings

- All types of parts where better finishing and dimensional stability are required

- Heavy duty bearings and rollers

- Bearings and gears with small gaps

- Components for electrical insulation
